The name Lirandzo means Love/friendship
The association Lirandzo began in Guija in 2008 after 20 pastors in the Guija community came together after seeing the need for their poverty stricken community to find sustainable methods of income generation that will uplift the lives of their families and those in need around them. The President of the Pastors Network in Guija Fernando Joao Chauque, then approached AfricaWorks requesting we begin an irrigation scheme for Lirandzo. AfricaWorks saw great potential in Lirandzo and agreed to embark on the vision of these pastors.
