AfricaWorks Charity Golf Day: 3rd November 2009
Venue: Chapman Golf Club

AfricaWorks will be holding its first Charity Golf Day on the 3rd of November 2009. The Charity Golf Day marks the launch of the It’s Our Time fundraising and awareness campaign. The overall objective of the campaign is to encourage Africans to take their step towards poverty eradication in Africa and encourage them to join the movement and become an agent of change. It’s Our Time, to develop Africa by Africans.

Additionally as we prepare to move into Zimbabwe the goal of the event is also to raise awareness for AfricaWorks Zimbabwe, socially sensitizing business people towards realizing their social responsibility in their communities.

AfricaWorks would like to invite you to sponsor a hole on the golf course. While your contribution will go towards helping those in abject poverty, the event will also allow you to advertise your company. The cost of a hole sponsorship is US$100.

Additionally, you may also enter your own four ball to play a four ball alliance at US$25 per golfer. There will be prizes for the first three teams on the day as well as other give-aways and prizes. To help your team along in winning, you may also enter a golf professional as your fourth player who will coach and provide handy tips to you and your team throughout the game for a further US$20 per team.

To register contact Ashleigh Joseph on atjoseph@africaworks.org or simply register at the Chapman Pro Shop.

Your support goes towards the development of sustainable business models amongst our vulnerable and impoverished brothers and sisters in Africa. Funds raised during the process of the yearlong campaign could also be used as leverage to further build funds for AfricaWorks programs.

We look forward to spending the day with you.
