The program in Xai-Xai started in 2006 with the World Relief Tshembeka program. Volunteers involved in the program were trained on home based care to assist those affected by HIV/AIDS. The AfricaWorks Animal Husbandry program was introduced to provide a sustainable source of income for the volunteers that were taking care of HIV/AIDS orphan’s & sick people. The program started with 28 volunteers/ clients owning 7 chicken houses with the capacity of 200 to 250 chickens in each chicken house.
The associations is composed of pastors, and individuals
