The name Kuxewula means the first rainfall after drought.
Kuxewula is an association which began in Tchaimite in 2006 with the World Relief Vurhonga project. The Vurhonga project was based on educating the community on child survival. The volunteers in this program realized that educating was not enough and together decided to grow nutritional crops from which they can feed the many malnourished children in their community. Supporting these children without any real income was the major inhibiting factor. Seeing the need, these volunteers were placed into an AfricaWorks crop production program in order for them to earn a sustainable income to support themselves, their families and those they have been helping through the World Relief Child Survival program.
Currently each client has a 2000m² plot of land.
